About Us

Our goal is to develop quality goalkeepers. We define a quality keeper as "a keeper who makes every save that they should, and a few saves that they should not".

Eric Wiberg established Wiberg's Wisconsin Goalkeeper School (WWGS) in April 2004. Our original focus was on athletes from Central Wisconsin; that focus rapidly grew to expand well beyond the State of Wisconsin. Our primary goal is to deliver very affordable, quality keeper training to any keeper who has the desire to improve.

For those keepers who have the desire and talent to play in college, we launched www.wibergwgs.com in September 2007. As of early 2010, we have placed ten keepers at the DI level via the website, where high quality video of keepers performing keeper specific is posted. This allows coaches to "scout" them. Historically, goalkeepers have been recruited based on their performance at games and tournaments. However, the average keeper may only touch the ball a few times during a game, giving coaches little idea of the true abilities of the keeper.

To introduce quality goalkeepers to college coaches, we launched www.wibergwgs.com in September 2007. A key training opportunity was to hold the first annual Road Show camp in June 2007, courtesy of Stan Anderson (Associate Head Coach of the Marquette University Men's Soccer Team and Camp Shutout founder/owner). The Road Show is a three day goalkeeper camp held in June in Stevens Point, WI. Thirty-seven keepers attended the first Road Show; for our fourth annual Camp Shutout Road Show in June 2010, we anticipate having eighty keepers on hand. In addition, we are constantly offering GK clinics, where we pull in some excellent GK coaches.
